Bay View Builders is now a U. S. EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm

The EPA has a new program that oversees all work in homes built prior to 1978 (Renovation, Repair and Painting – RRP) that has some very significant fines if not followed. Part of the program is now in effect but much of it won’t happen until late April, 2010. At that time any construction company working in a house built prior to 1978 must be certified by the EPA. Certification takes a minimum of 90 days, but must be done. EPA Lead Compliance Guide

Field trip to Troy, NY

Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center

Early this spring I was fortunate enough to be given a tour of this grand project. Steve Coats a long time friend and  Project manager for Turner Construction, the GC,  gave me a tour. Over 1 million dollars worth of cedar grace the curved exterior. The theme is of a ship in a bottle. It presented some challenges to say the least. An excellent project and very well done. Many thanks to Steve and Turner Construction.
